Privacy Policy
This policy describes how we handle information when you visit chainlodge.com, send us a capacity request, or otherwise communicate with us.
Information We Collect
- Capacity requests: When you press Request Capacity and submit the form, we receive the name, email address and company you type, the workload you choose, the language of the page you sent it from, and the time you sent it. It is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, a storage service run by our host, Cloudflare, and is used only to reply to your request. We do not record your IP address or browser with it. Each request is deleted automatically 45 days after you submit it. A copy of each request is also sent by email to our own inbox, delivered by Cloudflare Email Routing, so that we can answer it; that copy stays in our mailbox with the rest of our correspondence and is not part of the 45-day deletion.
- Contact details: Information you share when emailing us (such as name, email, company, and interests).
- Communications: Records of conversations and materials you request so we can respond effectively.
- Usage data: Pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, approximate location, and page load timing, measured by Google Analytics 4 (with cookies, and only if you accept them) and Cloudflare Web Analytics (without cookies), both described under Cookies and Tracking below. The Worker that serves this site keeps no log of your visits: its logs hold only the error messages our own code writes when something fails, never your IP address or what you submitted, and are deleted after at most seven days. The security logs Cloudflare keeps as our host are covered by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
How We Use Information
- Reply to your capacity request or message, and schedule calls you book with us.
- Operate, protect, and improve the site, including troubleshooting and analytics.
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our agreements.
Sharing and Disclosure
- Service providers: Vendors that support our operations (e.g., hosting and storage, email, and analytics) under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety: Where required to comply with law, protect rights, or prevent harm.
- No selling: We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and Tracking
Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site: pages viewed, the referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location (country or region, which Google derives from your IP address). It sets its own cookies in your browser to recognise a returning visit. It does not load at all until you press Accept in the cookie banner. If you press Reject, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, it does not load and sets no cookies, and in that last case we do not show you the banner at all: Cookie settings shows a note that your browser's signal is being honoured instead, with no Accept button. Alongside page views we send it a few named events: opening the capacity request form, submitting it, clicking through to book a call, switching language, and reaching a section of the page. None of them carries your name, email address, company, or anything you typed.
Cloudflare Web Analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, adds a small script (beacon.min.js) to every page we serve, which reports to Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, writes nothing to local storage, and does not fingerprint you by IP address, user-agent string, or anything else. It reports the page address, the referring page, and coarse browser, operating-system, and country information, aggregated. It also measures how quickly pages load. Because it sets no cookies it is not covered by the cookie banner and loads whichever answer you gave; blocking static.cloudflareinsights.com with your browser's tracking protection or an extension stops it.
Your answer to the cookie banner is remembered in this browser for twelve months. To change it sooner, or to withdraw consent you gave, press Cookie settings at the foot of the home page oropen the cookie banner here, and choose again; Reject deletes the cookies Google Analytics set. Clearing this site's data in your browser also brings the banner back. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent.
Data Retention and Security
Capacity requests are deleted automatically 45 days after they are submitted. The copy of a request emailed to our inbox, and any correspondence that follows, is kept as described in the next sentence. Other information is retained for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes above or as required by law. We use administrative and technical safeguards to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
Your Choices
- Update or request deletion of your contact details or capacity request by emailing info@chainlodge.com.
- Opt out of non-essential communications by replying to any email you receive from us.
- Manage cookies through your browser settings.
